Where To Buy Genesis Horse Feed

There is no definitive answer to this question as every horse is different and has different dietary needs. However, generally speaking, the healthiest horse food is a balanced diet that includes hay, grass, grains, and other healthy snacks. There are many commercially-available horse feeds on the market that are formulated to provide horses with all the nutrients they need to stay healthy, so speak with your veterinarian to find the best option for your horse.

For horses, the best food for them is a complete pelleted ration, which includes hay and corn, as long as the hay content is high and the corn content is low. It may be preferable to use a senior feed if you have digestive or nutritional issues.

Entering paid races is the best way to see where your horse stands on the track. There are nine different race lengths starting with 1000 meters and going all the way to 2600 meters, with 200 meter increments for the other distances.

Also, remember the breed types? This is where Genesis horses play a major role: only two Genesis horses can produce a Legendary offspring. Beyond legendary, genotype plays a major role in breeding. Reference the chart below for more info.

Water consumption can be easy to overlook. During the warm seasons, horses may have access to pastures with forage that contain 60 percent to 80 percent moisture which goes toward their daily water requirements. Winter feedstuffs such as grain and hay contain less than 15 percent moisture. According to Sarah L. Ralston, DVM at Rutgers University, adult horses at rest who consume 1.5 percent of their body weight in dry feedstuffs will need a minimum of three to seven liters of water per 100 kilograms (220.5 pounds) of body weight a day. A typical 1,100-pound horse will consume four to 9 gallons. If fed only dry hay, water intake will double. Lactating mares and horses who are exercised will need to increase their water consumption by 50 percent to 200 percent.

Life gets hectic and sometimes cleaning out troughs or buckets is low on the list of priorities, but it is a necessary chore. Small bits of hay, feed or even manure in a bucket or trough is not appealing to any horse. Troughs are notorious for algae growth and leaf/debris decomposition making the water taste bad. Automatic waterers reduce this chore significantly, but they will still need regular cleaning.

HJ Lea Oakes is one of the longest established independent animal feed manufacturers in Britain, with a history dating back to Swettenham Mill in 1675 where the Lea family began milling feeds to supply the Cheshire farming community. 041b061a72
